The European Football Championship 2024 or EURO 2024 will be the 17th edition of the four-yearly football tournament. The European Championship will be held in June/July of the year 2024. The host country is not yet known, but a number of countries have already expressed their interest.
One of the countries that may be a candidate for the organization of EURO 2024 is the Netherlands. On 23 March 2012, the KNVB indicated that it would like to organize such a major event in the future. "The KNVB is discussing whether we can possibly organize major events, but a European Championship will only be a serious option before the 2024 tournament", said Bert van Oostveen.
